Founded in 2004 by a Daughter and Father duo, Zeynep Arca Şallıel and Özcan Arca, Arcadia Vineyards is an enclosed family estate. to produce unmanipulated, elegant, high end terroir wines. All wines produced are estate bottled, single vineyard wines.

Situated in the far North west of Turkey, in Eastern Thrace in the valley  below  Istranca mountains, about an hour and a half from Istanbul, The estate extends over two hundred hectares where thirty five hectares of vineyards, at an altitude of 150 meters, are planted.

This location has a continental climate, tempered by the Black Sea to the east, and Aegean Sea to the west. The terroir gives grapes of excellent ripeness, lively acidity and notably bright aromatics. The approach to viticulture is environmentally sensitive, avoiding the use of insecticides or herbicides.

and winemaking is light handed: the winery built in the middle of the vineyards is designed to use gravity flow and minimise pumping, and all wines are bottled unfined and very lightly filtered. The varieties planted include Sauvignon Gris, an old and low[1]yielding clone of Sauvignon Blanc which gives deliciously creamy, fresh Sauvignon. Arcadia is the first winery in Turkey to cultivate this variety .Other white varieties planted are Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and the indigenous Narince. Red varieties are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese and the native Papaskarası.

Arcadia Vineyards has been the very first winery in Kırklareli region after a century long intermission, pioneering the ressurection of this antique wine terroir.

The philosophy of Arcadia Vineyards has been to celebrate and sustain a healthy ecosystem, biodiversity, nature’s gifts and historical heritage in every step. In additiıon to the quality focused terroir wine production the estate holds fruit orchards, lavender fields, heilroom wheats and vegetables and extensive oak groves throughout the estate, to help the enviroment and the quality of wines through a sustainable ecosystem.

Sustainable practices does not stop with agriculture; a 500 kwa solar energy field is built within the estate, providing two times more energy than needed for the entire operation.
