Our vineyards and winery are located on the northwest tip of Turkey, in Thrace region. Climate is continental with around 70-90 dry days through June – September, with diurnal temperature variations of 18-19 C and northern winds through the day. Narince (indigenous)
WINEMAKING
We make minimum 75% of the wine from grapes of our vineyards surrounding the winery. The rest are from vineyards under our control. Grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in cooled steel tanks (except for barrel fermented whites). Arda produces red, white, rosé and sweet wines in four series; DokuzSekiz (9/8), Gala, Kuşlu Seri (Birds Series) and Reserve.
Our grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Gamay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Papazkarasi (indigenous),
Arda vineyards are granted “Good Agricultural Practices” certificate for nature friendly practices in agriculture.
We started planting in 2006, following analyses of soil, selection of land, grape varieties and suitable rootstock. With additional plantings we reached 135 decares of vineyards. Our soil is mainly loamy, with gravel and clay strata in some parts.
We buy indigenous variety Papazkarasi grapes from 40+ yrs old vineyards which are cultivated under our control, from nearby villages where the grape is grown traditionally.
VINEYARDS & TERROIR
Arda is a family run winery located near Edirne city, Thrace. The father, Ilyas Saç is taking care of the vineyards, daughter Şeniz Saç Ergincan is a Toulouse graduate enologist and is responsible for winemaking. The son Yavuz Saç is responsible for management and marketing.

Visitor Acceptance: Open for visitors everyday except Mondays, open throughout 10.00-18.00 Tastings and winery tours arranged with reservation.
Accommodation: We provide accommodation at 6 comfortable wooden bungalows with a/c and private bathroom located by the vineyards and winery.
