Barel Vineyards, which is inspired by family gatherings and dinners that are enjoyed by close friends, takes its flavor from the fertile soils of Thrace. Named after the family’s two children Elif and Barkın, Barel Vineyards was established by Akın family in 2010 in order to make life more exciting for the wine-lovers. Since its establishment in 1997, Barel Vineyards uses modern vine cultivation techniques in an area of 1,5 hectares with the aim of making wine out of the delicious grapes that are collected from the amazing terroir of Thrace region. In these fruitful lands, a variety of wine grapes, such as Cabarnet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc , Syrah, is hand-picked with the rising sun, and processed in the winery that is located in the vineyards. Through this process, which is called chateau style winery, delicious grapes of the area are turned into high quality wine of Barel Vineyards.
