Uçmakdere Winery, is a family-owned domaine that embarked on a journey in 2012 with the aim of producing boutique, good-quality wines. We purchased and restored the old winery located on the shores of Uçmakdere village in Şarköy district, Tekirdağ and started our wine production during the grape harvest season of 2013. We are progressing in our project with excitement, passion and the motivation derived from Uçmakdere village’s deep rooted history in viticulture and winemaking. Initially, we produced wines solely from grapes supplied by our contracted vine growers, but for the past three years, we have also included grapes from our own vineyard. Our vineyards, located in Tekirdağ, are 14 years old and cover approximately 2 hectares of calcareous clay soil. The grape varieties we cultivate are Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Particularly since 2018, we have been meticulous in the careful harvesting of grapes and ensuring their swift and accurate transportation to our winery. During the winemaking process, we strive to minimize interventions and preserve the authenticity of the grapes and vineyard. We mainly work with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay grape varieties.

We are pleased to offer our wines under the Uçmakdere and Firuze brands. We use the Uçmakdere brand for our Rosé wines, while Firuze represents our beloves red and white wines. In the aging process of our wines, we attach importance to maintaining a balanced oak integration through American and French oak barrels. Our annual production amounts to around 8000 bottles.
